September Long Week-end Peak Bagging

Drove to Wedgemount trailhead on Friday after work. On my July trip to Wedge I had to hike 1.5 or so km to the trailhead, but this time I got lucky to be able to drive my ghetto car all the way up to the trailhead.

Being a minimalist that I am, I left my tent in the car and replaced it with a tarp. Managed to pack all my crap in my 35L backpack including climbing gears.

Hit the trail by 8pm and made to the lake a little over 2 hours(10:15pm). The trail was easy to follow even in the dark. Camped out close to the lake.

Only few left in WedgeMount Group to bag.

Weart

I've done Weart 3 times. I've taken the scramble route this time, while the other 2 via Wedge-Weart ridge. Found some bear tracks up on upper bowl.

My body kinda acting weird on the last 150m, every step seemed like a struggle.
I have sought refuge on a boulder from the wind and took 45 minutes nap.

Parkhurst

Twice in Parkhurst this year. The previous trip got no views from the top.
Headed down from Weart, traversed from Wedge glacier to Wedge-Parkhurst col.

Rethel

From Parkhurst, followed the ridge to Rethel. It was an easy scramble to the summit.
One section that needed to traverse below cliffs(south slope) into scree/talus gully.

Oasis Mountain

I climbed Oasis with Clayton, Nicole, Adrien, and Bonn-Tien. Went up to cross Wedge glacier to the col. and down to Weart glacier. An easy hike up to the summit.
