No summit fever this time around. Honestly, I don’t remember the trail being that steep the last time I was here.
This was one of the weirdest weekends I’ve had. I felt sick as soon as I arrived at the cabin. Normally, I’d push hard for the summit, but that day just felt off , too strange to really go for it. I wish I had stayed overnight. Instead, I headed out to the East end of the glacier, and all I could think about were Rachel and Jonathan.
Ended up taking a glorious 4-hour nap back in the cabin, probably the best part of the trip.
Mission incomplete, but I’ll definitely be back if the weather holds for the next few weeks.
