Elsay Loop Run

Max and I started with a run to Elsay Lake. After that, we attempted to follow a faint trail north of the cabin but quickly decided it wasn’t worth the hassle and turned back. I had to do a bit of convincing to get Max on board to bag Mt. Elsay on the way back.

We retraced our steps to the col and then joined the well-traveled Elsay Ridge Trail. This route takes you southwest, skirting the west side of the ridge toward Runner Peak and the notorious Seymour Icecap. We crossed the icecap and picked up the trail leading to the junction between Second Pump and Mount Seymour.

Great day exploring some technical terrain and enjoying the varied landscape!
