Yesterday, I headed out to the Sunshine Coast to tackle Mt. Elphinstone. I caught the earliest ferry to Langdale at 7:20 AM, ready for a day of trail running. The trail itself was a delight, well-marked with color-coded signs separating hikers and mountain bikers, which made it easy to follow even at a high-speed run.
With just over 1000 meters of elevation gain, the trail wasn’t too steep, making it super runnable and a lot of fun, especially the downhill sections.
I started running from the ferry terminal at 8:11 AM, reached the summit by 9:53 AM, and was back at the ferry terminal by 10:50 AM. All in all, a solid 2 hour and 40 minute ferry-to-ferry run. Highly recommend this one for anyone looking for a scenic and enjoyable trail run on the Coast!
