Over the past four years, I’ve visited the Wedgemount area only a handful of times. Among all the peaks there, James Turner has always held a special place in my heart. It’s not the tallest mountain in the region, but its jagged profile and remote location make it stand out as a truly unique and compelling objective.
When Alastair invited me to join him on this trip, I didn’t hesitate for a second. We were fortunate to have excellent weather, which made the climb both safer and more enjoyable. After some solid effort, we reached the summit of James Turner, a dream come true for me.
Grateful for good company, perfect conditions, and the chance to finally tick this special peak off my list.
