Pemberton Icefield via Elaho Main E300(Blanca, Exodus, Torah)

This trip has several exit points; Rutherford, Meager, Squamish Main, Brandywine and Roe Creek. Since we only have 1 car we had to come back on the same route.

Our starting point was Blanca Peak via Maude Frickert Creek by taking Elaho Main FSR then E300. With 2WD, we managed to drive up to 1.2km and 470m elevation, then walked 7km to the trailhead. The road is 9km from the turn off of Elaho Main and it's a 4WD. It was snow-free all the way to the trailhead but there were some downed trees 700m just before the trailhead. The snow started at the elevation of 1080m. We put ou skis just after leaving the road to the forest.  It was an easy 5km skinning to the lake. We mostly followed the West side of the creek.

We took the South ridge of Blanca Peak to the summit then skied down the West ridge to the col, just above the North end of Blanca Lake. We skied the North side to gain access to Pemberton Icefield. The ridge was guarded with huge cornice so it was a little daunting, luckily we found a low angled cornice for the entrance and we made safely down.

The route to the glacier was pretty straight forward. We took the left glacier outflow to gain the upper plateau on the South side of Exodus Peak.  We set up our tents and headed to Exodus summit by taking the West Ridge, then skied down the East Ridge. We then headed North of the Icefield to Torah Peak, it was 11km of mostly flat skinning from our camp. From the base of the glacier to the summit of Torah was nearly 500m vertical elevation gain. We ascended/skied the West face, the slope was fairly mellow and broad with 40 degrees(max). It was a long descent from the summit otherwise the skiing was very enjoyable.

On the ski out, we wanted to follow the ridge to Blanca but it looked complicated with cornices and micro terrain that we had to deal with. We ended up retracing our route back to the lake but instead of climbing back to the col, we took a mellow ramp to gain the ridge adjacent to Blanca Peak then follow our route back to the car.

I've done several trips in this area with different access:
